Autism Advocacy Fundraiser
Did you know that 1 in 44 children are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? This year, we're doing a fundraiser to support special education classrooms across Loudoun County. Instead of just donating to one classroom we will be using
Donors Choose to fund and support kids all across the county.
Our 'Why'
In September 2021, our daughter, Colby Hoyt, was diagnosed with Autism. Since being enrolled in the Mountain View Elementary School's early intervention program, in Loudon County, VA, Colby has made tremendous strides. In a few short months, she learned how to communicate with sign language. She has since more than quadrupled her spoken vocabulary. This is all thanks to the incredible teachers & staff at MVE. She is making leaps and bounds, and gradually catching up to accomplishments other kids her age are achieving.
2023 Fundraiser
This year's Autism Advocacy mug sales will support Special Education classrooms across Loudoun County. Instead of just donating to one classroom, we will be using Donors Choose to fund and support kids all across the county. If you know of a class that is in need, please reach out to the teacher and have them post a project or materials that they need funding for. Once they have set up their Donors Choose Project, please email valor.ridge.pottery@gmail.com with the teacher's name and their school, we will be funding these projects first!
Each mug is $32, 50% of every mug will be donated!
If you are local, mugs will be available for pick up at Valor Ridge Pottery in Hamilton, VA or for purchase at Harvest Gap Brewery and The Hamilton Mercantile, starting April 1st.
If you aren’t local but still want to help support Autism Awareness, Mugs can be shipped across the country!
